Hello Friends and Family!
If you're trying out one of the math challenges at home please remember this:
There is more than one way to solve a problem.
If you are not sure about what method to use, try both, then compare the results, or you and a friend can compare answers.
You might discover that one of the ideas didn't work, or you might discover a connection between the methods!
Also, be sure to share what you found with me!
Have fun!
Ms. Finlay
What tools might help you to solve your problem?
Drawing a picture
Using a ten frame
Using a place value chart
Using a hundred frame
Using a number line
Drawing a clock
Making a T-Chart
Writing or circling the numbers you need to work with
When you make your thinking visible, it's easier to talk about what you're thinking!
